Isolaz uses a beneficial combination of vacuum and broadband light which cleanses and purifies your pores. Your practitioner will initially dampen your skin with water just before the Isolaz treatment begins and then place the Isolaz tip on the area you want to be treated.
First, the gentle vacuum helps to loosen and extract excess oil and build-up from deep inside your pores; this feels like gentle pressure and can feel warm as the portion of your skin directly below the treatment tip is drawn into the tip by the vacuum.
Immediately, the vacuum is followed by a flash of light; this is a controlled UV light using low energy, which helps to destroy acne causing bacteria inside and around your pores. Additionally, the light used has a calming effect on the background redness you may also be noticing as a result of your acne. This process is repeated all over the treatment area.
Does Isolaz work 100% of the time?
As with all medicine and treatment of acne, a skin disease, no treatment can claim to 100% work all of the time or cure an incurable condition. However, many patients see good results from Isolaz therapy, including those who have not responded to other acne therapies such as topical products, oral medication and some lasers. There is no conclusive cure for acne.
Does Isolaz cure acne?
No. Unfortunately there is no current cure for acne; no medication or treatment can claim to do so. Isolaz and other treatments can help to reduce the symptoms and help you to effectively manage the condition.
What types of acne does Isolaz treat?
Isolaz is able to treat mild to moderate acne. This includes inflammatory, pustular and comedonal acne in all skin types.
How will I look after the Isolaz treatment?
You may have pinkness in the area treated, however this is usually transient and subsides quickly. You should be able to resume normal activities after the treatment.
Can Isolaz treat acne on my body?
Yes. Isolaz can treat acne on the chest and back, as well as the face.
How many treatments do I need?
Due to the nature of acne, it is strongly recommended that you have a course of treatment. This will be discussed with you on an individual basis.
Will Isolaz treat my acne scars?
No. Isolaz can help you to control and manage your acne. Often patients notice a reduction in the redness associated with their acne. If you are concerned about acne scarring, this is something that can be treated and you may like to discuss it at you consultation.
I am pleased with the genuine service I have been receiving from Jane. My consultation was in depth and Jane has done an amazing job at explaining everything. I would highly recommend the skin clinic to anyone and the products that they sell. – Roksana
Genuinely feel amazing! After having my confidence shattered by a previous experience at a Dermatologists, I was very nervous about going to another one. I shouldn’t have been and I regret not getting in touch with The Skin to Love clinic sooner! Very friendly and easy to talk to, lovely atmosphere, felt homely, which in turn made me feel relaxed and comfortable; unlike some other extremely clinical and harsh lighting clinics I’ve been to in the past. Have booked further treatments and am excited to see the results! Thank you for restoring my confidence!! – Ellie
I am very pleased with the advice and products I was given, and I am looking forward to seeing the results! THANK YOU – Erin
